He meets Charles Goodyear in New York where both do research on hard rubber.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>1851:<\/strong><\/span> Heinrich Adorf Meyer, brother of the industrial pioneer Heinrich Christian Meyer, acquires the rights from Charles Goodyear for producing hard rubber products in Europe.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>1856: <\/strong><\/span>H.A. The two brands Hercules (New-York Hamburger AG) and S\u00e4gemann (Harburger Gummi-Kamm) were changed to Hercules S\u00e4gemann.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>1952: <\/strong><\/span>The plant in Barmbek is sold and the Hamburg Barmbek factory is moved to the plant in the district of Harburg.<span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">These combs, which are particularly popular in the hairdressing trade because of their quality, but also other hair care appliances, are available under the traditional name Hercules S\u00e4gemann, for example.<\/span><\/div><\/div><div id=\"ultimate-heading-781969f0b16518b2f\" class=\"uvc-heading ult-adjust-bottom-margin ultimate-heading-781969f0b16518b2f uvc-7889 accent-icon-color uvc-heading-default-font-sizes\" data-hspacer=\"no_spacer\"  data-halign=\"left\" style=\"text-align:left\"><div class=\"uvc-heading-spacer no_spacer\" style=\"top\"><\/div><div class=\"uvc-sub-heading ult-responsive\"  data-ultimate-target='.uvc-heading.ultimate-heading-781969f0b16518b2f .uvc-sub-heading '  data-responsive-json-new='{\"font-size\":\"\",\"line-height\":\"desktop:27px;\"}'  style=\"font-weight:normal;color:#000000;margin-bottom:20px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>2000:<\/strong><\/span> Acquisition of the hard rubber comb production of the competitor Semperit in Austria.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>2009:<\/strong><\/span> The company moves to modern production facilities in L\u00fcneburg.
