He meets Charles Goodyear in New York where both do research on hard rubber.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>1851:<\/strong><\/span> Heinrich Adorf Meyer, brother of the industrial pioneer Heinrich Christian Meyer, acquires the rights from Charles Goodyear for producing hard rubber products in Europe.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>1856: <\/strong><\/span>H.A.
